The Professional Protégé Program includes several components. The one day intensive Superstar Speaking Skills Seminar is one critical component of getting you out of your spectator’s seat to speaking on stage.
The Superstar Speaking Skills Seminar can be attended prior to or following the cornerstone event – Unleash The Speaker Within. Either way it preframes or supplements the hands-on learnings and experiences of this life-changing, career-enhancing event.
Still in development, this event will cover the following topics and themes.
Great openings and closes
How to get a great presentation launched into orbit as well as back on to solid ground to ensure that spectators are not just moved emotionally, but moved to take the steps you desire them to take action on is presented and performed with real case studies.
Metaphors and storytelling
The primary mistakes people make using metaphors and storytelling will be covered to ensure that your path to your message remains unobstructed with superfluous innuendos and other verbose miscommunications.
In other words, we’ll teach you to speak so that people understand exactly what you have to say, the first time you say it.
Movement and Momentum
Public speaking is all about creating, building and maintaining momentum with your audience. Concepts such as "the power of the room" and creating an ‘Experience’ will be explored and highlighted a well as how to recover from blunders, missteps and mistakes.
Scripting and Sequencing
Each presentation requires a script, a plan of action to follow. How it is sequenced is critical to the success of the performance. Linear and non-linear models will be explored and presented so that you are aware of the range of styles you have available to you – not considering these can lead to boring, mundane and monotone presentations.
The Persona Principle
This will become a workshop in itself alongside branding and pre-eminence, but for the purpose of this event, the Persona Principle will be highlighted with exemplary and catastrophic real life examples and case studies.
PowerPoint Presentation Principles
As you would expect, there are Exponential strategies that can leveraged via PowerPoint. Even though this is not a "how to use PowerPoint" workshop, it will cover several ‘must-know’ components and functions every speaker should know about. Shockingly enough – most public speakers I’ve met don’t know half of what I will reveal to you.
Performance Preparation
This self-evident component of the seminar will have a few surprises for you – even though everyone understands the value of preparation, few use Exponential MasterMind Principles to create captivating, standing-ovation producing, encore-inducing presentations.
The primary goal of this portion of the seminar is to discuss the contrast between the ‘ad hoc’ versus fully scripted ‘canned presentation’ formats – each has its pros and cons as well experiential requirements, risks and rewards!
Presentation Style and Audience Matching
There are several styles of presentations you can give. There is an art and science to matching the proper style with the audience. This conceptual ideology is a cornerstone principle to becoming a Superstar Speaker who can adapt to any situation, context and audience and deliver an outstanding performance.
The outcomes of the performance or presentation can be quite divergent, from selling, educating, informing (which is NOT the same as educating!), motivating, to name a few.
Presentation Basics
